Directory of Federal Prisons
The Directory of Federal Prisons: PrisonLawBlog.com’s Federal Bureau of Prisons Facility Directory, by Christopher Zoukis and Dr. Randall Radic (Middle Street Publishing, 2014), is a federal prison directory providing the contact information and character profile of every federal prison and private contract prison.
An essential guide for everyone who knows anyone incarcerated within the Federal Bureau of Prisons, this electronic guidebook enables attorneys, family members and friends of federal prisoners, journalists, government officials, prison volunteers, and members of the general public to quickly locate the contact information and inmate correspondence address of every prison within the Federal Bureau of Prisons and every private prison which houses federal inmates.
Divided into 7 chapters and 6 appendices, 7 of the 7 chapters contains information concerning prisons in a different Federal Bureau of Prisons’ region, while the final chapter contains information about all private contract prisons which house federal inmates.
The Appendices further categorize every federal prison by region, security level, alphabetically, which prisons house female prisoners, which prisons have an adjacent satellite prison camp, and a final appendix contains important contact information for various Federal Bureau of Prisons and Department of Justice offices, much of which isn’t located elsewhere in the Directory.
